Ms. Chapman is an experienced corporate attorney with a broad background in structuring complex global commercial transactions. She has extensive experience in technology transactions, M & A, debt and equity structures, regulatory and compliance issues, equipment leasing, Bankruptcy, venture capital and general business administration.
While much of her work has been with companies in the US, her special interest has been in the expansion and operation of businesses into countries outside of the US, including North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
She spent over 25 years as in-house counsel with Comdisco, Inc., a global technology services and leasing company including 5 years as General Counsel - Europe, working and living in Paris, France, and another 15 years as the International Legal Director, responsible for all the legal affairs of the non-US subsidiaries of the company. Ms. Chapman is fluent in French and Spanish and has a working knowledge of Italian, Portuguese and German.
She is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel - International Legal Affairs Committee, the ABA - International Section, and a member of the California and Illinois State Bar Associations. Ms. Chapman attended UCLA and the University of San Diego, School of Law. She also has a degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from UCLA.
